My husband uses the Sacred Salve in the morning every day before he leaves for work. I know he is about to head out when the scent of sage, rosemary, lavender and lemon combined with tropical honey scented beeswax hit the air. He has a polished vibe.. his hair is "in line", his hands are smooth and he is smelling incredible. He like others, has ditched the hair gel and minimized his product usage by using the Sacred Salve to smooth out his hair as well as providing moisture for his hands, arms, elbows and feet.
It starts with the raw Kauai beeswax. Those Hawaiian bees, although living on "island time", have lots of work cut out for them.. and work is what they do best. Kauai has many gently scented tropical flowers which contribute to the tropical qualities reflected in the Sacred Salve. This wax has not been stripped, or altered by heat. Large amounts of royal jelly, honey, and propolis are included. Royal jelly is produced and fed to a queen bee. Royal jelly has large amounts of antioxidants (like honey) and consists of mostly water, protein and sugars. Royal jelly also includes healthy fats, salts and amino acids.
This wax is blended with Mango butter. Mango butter is similar to shea or cocoa butter but has higher levels of fatty acids making it a more powerful moisturizer. Mango butter has high levels of antioxidants and includes vitamin A,C, and E. This stuff is excellent for skin and hair alike, providing vitamins and creating a bit of a UV shield.
Cold pressed Macadamia Nut and Kukui Nut oils help to seal in moisture and also provide small amounts of UV protection as well.
Cold pressed avocado, olive, and grape seed oils compliment these efforts. Hawaiian bee propolis provides anti bacterial qualities, and along along with Vitamin E, aids in the healing of minor cracks, cuts, and scrapes.
